Job Opening: Accounting Clerk — Location: Tempe, AZ — Pay: $21–$26 / hr — Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

We’re hiring an Accounting Clerk to join a growing team in Tempe! If you're detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy supporting both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, this is a great opportunity to grow your accounting career.

Responsibilities

  • Accounts Receivable: Prepare and submit customer invoices
  • Accounts Receivable: Code, post, and receipt incoming payments
  • Accounts Receivable: Coordinate and process daily bank deposits
  • Accounts Receivable: Perform account, bank, and reconciliation tasks
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts for non-payment or delays and follow up as needed
  • Accounts Payable: Verify and process incoming invoices for accuracy
  • Accounts Payable: Prepare payments for approval and signature
  • Accounts Payable: Sort, code, and enter accounts payable data into the system
  • Accounts Payable: Investigate discrepancies and follow up on unpaid invoices
  • Accounts Payable: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records
  • General Accounting Support: Maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and supporting records
  • General Accounting Support: Assist with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations
  • General Accounting Support: Use financial data to research and resolve discrepancies
  • General Accounting Support: Track, audit, and replenish petty cash
  • General Accounting Support: Process and verify employee expense reports for accuracy

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Pay Details: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour
