Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and highly analytical Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of our dynamic and fast-paced family office. This role blends day-to-day accounting oversight with strategic financial reporting to support executive decision-making. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles to help ensure the financial integrity and long-term success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Accounting Operations & Oversight
  • Lead all general ledger accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation in compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and receivable processes, including vendor management, invoicing, and disbursements.
  • Ensure accurate expense classification, perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, and manage short- and long-term cash flow tracking.
  • Financial Reporting & Strategic Insights
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, P&Ls, and cash flow reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Provide clear and actionable financial analysis and insights to the CEO and executive leadership to guide business decisions and long-term planning.
  • Systems & Process Optimization
  • Maintain and enhance accounting systems and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), ensuring data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to streamline accounting operations.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce robust internal controls to protect financial assets and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA preferred but not required.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles.
  • Proficient in modern accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero) and advanced Excel modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity.
  • Experience in a family office, private equity, investment management, or similar environment highly valued.
