Overview

Join a leading, mission-driven school in St. Louis, MO as their next Accounting Manager. This role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact by supporting the financial health and operational success of an organization dedicated to education. Located onsite with flexible hours near Creve Coeur, MO.

What You'll Do as Accounting Manager:

• Lead and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee a team of three accounting professionals, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Collections.
• Develop, monitor, and analyze annual and monthly budgets to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Create, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls and improve efficiency.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
• Report directly to the COO and present monthly financial reports and budgets to the School Board.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; MBA or CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Experience in the nonprofit or education sector strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to leadership and board members.
