Overview IT Support Specialist – Part-Time
Gulf South Diagnostics seeks a dependable and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining technology systems, providing end-user support, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of hardware, software, and network resources.
Responsibilities Provide technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and other office technology.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols.
Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
Assist with onboarding by setting up new employee workstations, email, and system access.
Support leadership with technology-related projects, upgrades, and system integrations.
Document IT procedures, maintain equipment inventory, and track support requests.
Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related concerns and escalate complex issues when necessary.
Qualifications Associate degree in Information Technology or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred
1–2 years of experience in IT support or help desk environment
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking
Familiarity with cloud-based systems, email administration, and data security best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Schedule & Compensation Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
$45,000 – $50,000/year
