The Service Supply Chain Organization at AppleCare is tasked with crafting the best service experience for all Apple customers. As a demand planning organization, we sit at the early stages of all Supply Chain and Operations activities. Our team provides material forecasts at various levels to help the Supply Chain Operations plan for parts to be available where our service customers are. Our commitment to service customers starts when Apple sells the first unit to the customer and can last up to 10 years after we ship the last units. The purpose of this role is to provide timely and accurate forecasts with insights on demand, enabling effective decision-making.
Description
As the manager for your Line of Business/es, you will play a key role coordinating your team to generate Service Demand forecasts in close collaboration with Service Supply Chain teams. To be successful, you will have a good understanding of various forecasting approaches, systems and drivers of forecast accuracy.
In this role, you will;
Manage team operations, set priorities, coordinate projects, and drive process improvements
Ensure forecasts are delivered accurately, on time, and shared with cross‑functional partners and leadership
Establish and facilitate robust review cycles to surface risks, find opportunities, and drive proactive mitigation strategies
Continuously challenge, validate, and refine forecasts to improve accuracy and deliver actionable demand signals for stakeholders
Leverage analytical skills, systems expertise, and attention to detail to manage complex operations at scale and drive continuous improvement
Inspire, mentor, and develop planners, fostering career growth and a culture of collaboration and innovation
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting or supply chain management and experience leading cross-functional teams, projects, or direct reports
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, engineering, finance or a related field
Strong understanding of supply chain functions, standard methodologies, and overall eye for business
Familiarity with demand planning applications or ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; comfort with large datasets and forecasting methodologies
Results-driven with the ability to prioritize in fast paced situations and deliver outcomes across global, cross-functional teams
Proven track record of problem-solving and improving processes by employing systems / automation
Excellent communication and influencing skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership and aligning stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or equivalent in supply chain management, engineering, finance or a related business/technical field
Proven experience in high-tech and/or service operations with a focus on demand planning and forecasting
Proficiency with advanced planning applications (e.g., o9, SAP APO, Oracle Demand Management, Kinaxis)
