Psychiatrist Board Certified-Inpatient Acute Care
Join as a psychiatrist at SummitStone Health Partners in the new Longview Acute Care Behavioral Health facility in Larimer County, Colorado. This role provides inpatient acute care for adults and adolescents, working across crisis stabilization, withdrawal management, and an upcoming adolescent unit.
Compensation Base pay range: $216,237.00 – $270,296.00 per year, based on experience.
Location: Larimer County, Colorado. 40-hour work week.
Role Overview As a psychiatrist, you will provide patient care, physician oversight, and continuity for our clients and teams. Responsibilities include conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing psychotherapy or medication management for a range of conditions such as psychosis, mania, suicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, substance use, eating disorders, and behavioral problems.
You will collaborate closely with patients, families, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams, and will also teach and train students and residents while coordinating with medical and therapy teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and psychotherapeutic interventions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management.
Provide care for adult and adolescent patients, including crisis stabilization and withdrawal management.
Teach and supervise students and residents.
Collaborate with medical and therapy teams to ensure integrated care.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited university with post‑graduate training in psychiatry.
Minimum two years of post‑residency experience in substance use and mental health care is preferred but not required. New graduates are welcome.
Fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry is a plus.
Strong commitment to Medication Assisted Treatment and harm reduction principles.
Strong knowledge of substance use treatment and withdrawal management processes.
Licenses And Certifications
DEA Certification required.
License to practice psychiatry in the state of Colorado required.
Valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire, with a clean driving record.
Board certified or eligible with plans for certification.
Highly Desired
Bilingual/bi-cultural proficiency.
