Summary At the direction of the Field Service Supervisor and the Technical Support Team, the Field Service Technician I will be assigned to complete installation, troubleshooting, and repair of LINET and non‑LINET products in hospital and healthcare facilities. The technician will assist on customer installations, report any damages or bed function failures to the Technical Support Team, and, when possible, repair reported bed concerns to established standards while on site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide high level of customer service and interact with customers professionally.

Complete repair work for services related to electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as per service standards and training.

Assist with installations and complete routine preventive maintenance per service contracts.

Document repairs as completed per work orders, including evaluation, service or PM forms, and accurately describe any bed function failure and remediation.

All paperwork must be signed by both the technician and the facility representative and submitted to the Technical Support Team within 24 hours of completion.

Perform routine preventive maintenance on beds and repairs on all beds, stretchers, OBTs, and other accessory items per service contracts and work orders.

Understand detailed functionality and benefit offering of each product and how each product best meets emergent customer needs.

Complete ongoing education as provided by LINET to stay current on all LINET products and technologies.

Adhere to LINET Safety Procedures while conducting routine maintenance, work order repairs, installations, and other directed work on LINET products.

Wear personal protective equipment including safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, and protective clothing at all times.

LINET will provide established equipment annually; LINET equipment is to be utilized by the service technician when working on LINET products.

Complete service van maintenance, inventory of required tools, and spare parts prior to and at the end of each shift. Report any van, tools, or parts needing service or repair to the manager for approval to repair equipment before continued use.

All other duties as assigned.

Regular and timely attendance; nights, weekends, and on‑call hours may be required.

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

5 years related experience and/or training

Advanced electro‑mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills

Experience in driving “C” size trucks

Valid driver license; ability to be insured under company insurance per established guidelines; driver’s license record will be reviewed annually

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Language Skills Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers or members of the business or at‑large community.

Mathematical Skills Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations.

Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and offer appropriate solutions.

Physical Demands The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to drive in inclement weather.

Work Environment Works in hospital environments where biohazards could be present.

Travel This position requires travel of 5% up to 80% for the purposes of field service, delivery & installation of beds, and occasional sales support and trade shows.
