Business Development Manager – Banner Engineering

This exempt, professional role reports to the Director of Strategic Business Development. The BDM focuses on expanding Banner’s market share in data center ecosystems, managing distributor relationships, driving faster‑cycle sales, and meeting annual sales targets. What You’ll Be Doing
Engage OEMs and contractors to position Banner solutions for liquid cooling, safety, cabling, and monitoring. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the data center ecosystem. Build relationships with electrical and mechanical contractors, system integrators, panel shops, and MEP firms. Influence consulting engineers and data center operators to include Banner products in specifications. Partner with existing distributors to support project pursuits. Drive sales expansions and upgrades within six to twelve months. Maintain accurate records in the CRM and uphold compliance with policies and regulations. What You Bring To The Table
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Business, or related field. 3–5 years of experience selling to the data center ecosystem. Strong relationships serving the data center ecosystem. Familiarity with data center infrastructure (power, cooling, cabling, sensing). Expert technical sales ability in automation, controls, sensing, cabling, and safety. Proven success in strategic account management and multi‑year account plans. Experience navigating complex buying processes with large stakeholders. Proficiency in Salesforce, MS Office, strong verbal and written communication. Ability to travel up to 50% to customer sites or meet distributors. Preferred
Understanding of MEP design processes and data center standards. Experience working in a fast‑paced environment and managing multiple projects. Strong interest in data center industry trends. Physical Demands
May sit up to 8 hours per day. Continuous movement, walking, standing at times. Extended computer screen exposure. Repetitive motions with standard office equipment. Communicate frequently with others. Travel by car or airplane up to 50%. Working Environment
Corporate office environment—indoor, climate‑controlled. Interaction with external partners and customers across all levels of the organization. Exposure to moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, temperature changes. PPE may be required in specific areas. Standard hours Monday–Friday; occasional overtime or travel required. Core Values
