Chief Medical Officer - Immunology/Inflammation
QP Group is exclusively partnered with a clinical‑stage biotech that is developing next‑generation bispecific and immune therapeutics for chronic inflammatory and autoimmune disorders. They are looking for a Chief Medical Officer to drive clinical development strategy, execution, and engagement for their lead and follow‑on programs.
Responsibilities
Define and lead overall clinical development strategy, including trial design, execution, and interpretation of results.
Design adaptive, biomarker‑driven Phase I–II studies to efficiently establish safety, pharmacodynamics, and early efficacy signals.
Ensure integration of translational medicine, clinical pharmacology, and regulatory input into early development plans.
Oversee all clinical and regulatory submissions, including INDs, investigator brochures, and briefing documents.
Serve as primary clinical spokesperson in interactions with the FDA, EMA, MHRA, and other regulatory bodies.
Experience Required
MD or MD/PhD
15+ years’ experience in clinical development, including 10+ years in biopharma (biologics, immunology, or inflammation focus).
Proven track record leading IND‑enabling and early‑stage clinical programs through Phase I/II.
Demonstrated experience with bispecific antibodies, cytokine modulators, or immune checkpoint biologics a plus.
Direct engagement with FDA and EMA on INDs, protocol design, and expedited programs (Orphan, Breakthrough, Fast Track).
