Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible evenings with 1 rotating Saturday shift per month. Included evening and weekend differential. Location: Stratford CT. Role Summary
The
MRI Technologist
will perform MRI exams in accordance with exam procedures and protocols using independent judgment to ensure optimal diagnostic quality and exceptional patient care. The technologist will also assist Radiologists with special procedures such as arthrograms, review all necessary documentation, and set up patients, operate equipment, and perform related clinical and administrative duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs MRI procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality and timeliness. Escorts patients to treatment room and assists with dressings as necessary. Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of MRI services. Explains MRI procedures to address patient concerns and questions. Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff. Completes related paperwork and obtains interpretation by radiologist. Conducts quality control measures to monitor machine performance and reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the site manager. Focuses on customer service and uses courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors to maintain a professional atmosphere. Education and Experience
Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ARRT (R) (MR) certification and Connecticut licensure required. 1-2+ years of clinical experience in all MRI procedure types. Siemens, GE experience preferred. Benefits
