$85,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr Summary / Objective

The Senior Accountant performs general accounting duties ensuring accuracy in general ledgers, cash flow, and reporting across multiple companies. This role leads daily accounting activities, produces critical financial statements, and upholds compliance with GAAP standards—while collaborating with a dynamic team in a fast‑paced environment. Essential Functions

Maintain and oversee the integrity of general ledgers. Manage cash flow, including strategic placement and movement of funds across multiple entities. Track capital expenditures (CAPEX) and maintain detailed property ledgers. Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports, and cumulative general ledgers using Microsoft ERP systems. Reconcile general ledger accounts to subsidiary records on a monthly basis. Execute accurate and timely month‑end closing entries. Reconcile all bank statements with precision and attention to detail. Supervise property tax reporting processes. Collaborate with independent auditors by preparing and providing necessary data for audits. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Perform additional duties as required to support company goals. Non‑Essential Functions

Provide support to the Director of Accounting and Audit and Controller as required. Offer guidance and mentorship to Accounts Payable, Billing, and other Accounting staff when needed. Job Specifications

Work will primarily take place indoors, in an office setting. Noise level is expected to be low. Physical Demands

Sit approximately 7 hours per day and walk or stand the other 1 hour per day. Qualifications

Experience Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance. Special Skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros). Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics) is strongly preferred. In‑depth knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles. Familiarity with operating and capital budgeting processes. Ability to perform advanced statistical analysis and interpret complex financial data. Extensive knowledge of accounting practices. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and mentor staff. Proven ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with a track record of identifying and resolving issues efficiently. Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certifications

CPA is a plus but not required. Seniority Level
