Senior Benefits Specialist / Benefits Analyst

is responsible for the administration, analysis, and improvement of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement, wellness, and leave of absence policies. This role serves as a subject matter expert and works closely with the HR Director to ensure compliance, optimize benefit offerings, and provide a seamless employee experience. Key Responsibilities:

Serve as a lead resource on benefits-related inquiries, resolving complex employee issues and escalations. Analyze benefits data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and support strategic decisions. Administer annual open enrollment, including system testing, employee communications, and vendor coordination. Assist with benefits plan renewals, vendor evaluations, and implementation of new programs. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA). Maintain accurate employee benefits records and audit HRIS/benefits data for consistency and accuracy. Reconcile monthly billing and vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies. Draft and update benefits communications, including plan documents, intranet content, and FAQs. Support leave of absence programs, partnering with internal and external partners as needed. Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, and Legal teams to ensure smooth benefits processes and compliance. Provide training and guidance to HR colleagues. Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience). 4–6 years of progressive experience in employee benefits administration. Strong understanding of health & welfare and retirement benefits, compliance regulations, and HRIS systems. Experience with benefits data analysis and reporting (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and handle confidential information with integrity. Preferred:

CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP certification. Experience with Workday, ADP, UKG, or other enterprise HR systems. Prior involvement in benefits strategy or vendor negotiations.
