The incumbent will spend approximately 50% of their time providing legal counsel to and representing the Bureau of Child Care Food Programs in the administration of the Child Care Food Program, as well as the Bureau of WIC in the administration of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children. Additional responsibilities include: providing guidance on federal and state laws, monitoring legal updates, reviewing public records requests, drafting and negotiating legal documents, overseeing rulemaking, and representing the bureaus in litigation. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Admission to the Florida Bar and professional legal experience, including legal research and participation in administrative or judicial hearings. Qualifications

Incumbent may be required to work before, during, and beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duties may include working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or responding to natural or man‑made disasters. Where You Will Work
