Technology Training Manager

Overview: Join MoFo as a Technology Training Manager on our Information Technology team. This role can be based in any of the listed locations.
About The Role The Technology Training Manager develops and delivers firm‑wide technology training programs to enhance adoption and effective use of firm applications and tools. Partnering with IT, Innovation, Administration, and Learning & Development leaders, this role designs and executes targeted learning initiatives for attorneys and business professionals, integrates technology into professional development, and ensures compliance with continuing education requirements. Leading a global team across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, the Manager ensures consistent, high‑quality training, leverages expertise in firm applications such as iManage, Office 365, Intapp, document review tools, and emerging AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT; Harvey), and fosters a client‑service culture focused on engagement, adoption, and overall client satisfaction.
Training and Program Development
Develop and implement a firm‑wide technology training strategy aligned with business and practice needs.
Partner with Learning & Development and Talent leaders to integrate technology into attorney and staff programs.
Ensure CLE/CPD compliance and maintain documentation.
Design practice‑specific training across key areas using classroom, virtual, and self‑paced formats.
Evaluate and implement effective learning platforms and tools.
Maintain consistent onboarding and professional development programs.
Track and report participation, compliance, and adoption metrics.
Trainer Development & Leadership
Lead and mentor a global training team across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
Ensure trainers understand attorney workflows and practice needs.
Promote professional growth in learning design and legal technology.
Project & Communication Management
Align training with career development and competency goals.
Develop communications that support adoption and firm culture.
Represent training in firm‑wide strategic initiatives.
End User Support & Training
Maintain expertise in firm applications (iManage, Office 365, Intapp, document review tools, AI platforms).
Deliver relevant, role‑based training for attorneys and staff.
Oversee CLE/CPD‑accredited programs and credit tracking.
Create and maintain effective job aids and learning materials.
Team Management
Coach and develop team members to strengthen technical and professional skills.
Allocate resources effectively across practice and business needs.
Support performance management, recruiting, and goal setting.
Maintain open communication and ensure compliance with firm policies.
Knowledge & Professional Development
Stay current on legal technology, CLE/CPD regulations, and industry trends.
Maintain expertise in firm applications and practice‑specific tools.
Engage with professional networks such as ILTA.
Client Service, Confidentiality & Safety
Model the Firm’s Client Service Principles.
Protect confidential information and adhere to safety practices.
About You
Bachelor’s degree and prior law firm experience required.
7+ years in technology training, instructional design, and team leadership.
Proven success designing and delivering technical training for attorneys and staff.
Experience partnering with Learning & Development to integrate technology into professional development and CLE/CPD programs.
Strong knowledge of law firm applications (iManage, Office 365, Intapp, document review tools, AI platforms).
Skilled in creating practice‑specific training across litigation, corporate, and IP.
Demonstrated success leading global training teams and ensuring consistent, high‑quality delivery.
Effective leader and communicator with strong project management and organizational skills.
Technically adept, client‑focused, and solutions‑oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions.
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
