About The Role The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of people operations practices and processes. This role involves managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and talent management. The goal is to promote corporate values and enable business success through people operations.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.

Provide support to management regarding staffing, performance management, compensation, retention, counseling, employment law, termination issues and other related matters.

Manage termination of employees and out‑processing.

Manage benefit administration and work with brokers as needed.

Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies, and helping resolve work‑related problems.

Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. Manage all compliance reporting and record‑keeping efforts to include EEO‑1, AAP, E‑Verify, etc.

Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.

Conduct new employee orientations.

Coordinate all pre‑employment activities including background check and drug screening.

Maintain Human Resource Information System, personnel files and all other Human Resources related documentation.

Oversee recruitment process and efforts.

Create, update and maintain job descriptions.

Serves as recruitment backup.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from four‑year college or university preferred.

Minimum of five years of related Human Resources experience and/or training.

Demonstrable experience with Human Resource metrics.

Knowledge of HR systems and databases.

Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills.

Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.

Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.

Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of employment law preferred.

Familiarity with online job boards and social networking platforms is a plus.

Certifications – SHRM a plus.

Collaborative team player with a strong service mentality, curiosity, and flexibility.

Exceptional communicator with the ability to translate complex employment concepts in clear business terms.
