The Facilities Manager supports the Environmental Services Director to manage the physical building, apartments, systems and grounds to maintain the community’s high standards for service and appeal of the physical environment. Responsible for apartment general maintenance, preventive maintenance, CapEx management, housekeeping services and more to ensure a high quality and safe environment for residents, family members, guests, and associates. Leads and supports maintenance and housekeeping associates to ensure teamwork, service excellence and quality departmental outcomes. Ensures the safety and health standards of the community are being upheld.
Schedule Sunday – Thursday 9am – 5:30pm
Salary Range $70K – $75K
What will I do every day?
Supports Environmental Services Director/supervisor to achieve balanced results in associate engagement, resident loyalty, and financial performance within environmental services and housekeeping departments
Execute the apartment turn, apartment readiness, transfer, and move-out processes effectively and compassionately in collaboration with other departments while creating an amazing experience for residents and families based on each person’s unique preferences
Manage and improve resident and family satisfaction and loyalty using a variety of listening and learning methods, process improvement, and the anticipation of and responsiveness to needs and concerns
Coordinate and manage outside vendors and the quality of their work on apartment upgrades, building and equipment renovation or repairs
Model a pride of ownership in community appearance and ensure the “90/90 rule” of first impressions is passionately adhered to by all staff
What will I need to be successful in this role?
High school graduate; college degree preferred
Five to seven years’ experience desired, or technical training in HVAC, plumbing and construction with three years’ experience preferred, or a minimum of five years’ experience in apartment maintenance or related trade
Ability to build effective teams, hire and develop people and have the courage to lean into difficult issues
Strong problem‑solving skills for analyzing difficult situations and finding effective solutions
High competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office applications, internet‑based and custom applications
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
Special Requirements and/or Certifications
Technical training in HVAC, plumbing and construction with three years’ experience preferred, or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or related trade
