POSITION SUMMARY
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of RCM and is responsible for advancing the mission, strategic vision, and sustainability of the organization. The ED will provide dynamic leadership, ensure effective program execution, strengthen internal systems, and steward relationships with stakeholders and the community according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors. Guidance and direction is provided by the President, the Board and its Executive Committee.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Strategic Leadership
Guide the implementation of RCM's vision, strategy, and priorities across all operating centers.
Assure that the organization has a long-range strategy which achieves its mission, and toward which it makes consistent and timely progress.
Lead the development and execution of initiatives to enhance youth and family services, especially within the KCV community.
Oversee the strategic and operational expansion of Restoration Christian Academy.
Lead the initiative to establish a public charter school.
Organizational Management
Supervise and support operating center directors and key staff, fostering collaboration across all centers.
Develop internal systems, policies, and procedures that promote efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and funding requirements.
Encourage staff and volunteer development and education, and assist program staff in relating their specialized work to the total program of the organization.
Maintain a climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates a diverse staff of top-quality people.
Program Development & Evaluation
Strengthen existing programs and lead the design of new services to address the evolving needs of the community.
Set measurable goals and outcomes for each operating center and oversee regular performance evaluation.
Fundraising & Financial Stewardship
Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including grants, individual giving, corporate sponsorships, entrepreneurial services, and faith-based partnerships.
Work with the finance team and Board to develop and manage an annual budget that aligns with RCM's goals.
Ensure financial stability and integrity through sound fiscal management and reporting.
Diversify the organization's sources of income, generate unrestricted discretionary income, and build a reserve fund.
Community Engagement & Advocacy
Represent RCM to the public, media, partners, and stakeholders with integrity and clarity.
Cultivate strong relationships with local government, schools, faith-based organizations, community groups, and donors.
Serve as an advocate for children, families, and under-resourced communities.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Education, Social Work, Public Administration, or related field.
Minimum of seven (7) years of senior leadership experience, at least five (5) of which shall have been in a supervisory role performing substantially comparable functions to acquire skills necessary to manage programs and activities of a nonprofit or community-based organization.
Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and scale programs.
Strong financial acumen, including experience managing budgets and fundraising efforts.
Knowledge of the principles and techniques of grant administration, contract administration and negotiation, community organization, fiscal and organizational management, principles and practices of marketing and public relations.
Demonstrated commitment to faith-based community development.
Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
MBA or other equivalent advanced degree in a related field.
Experience with charter school development and education leadership.
Knowledge of housing support services, youth development, or wraparound services.
Familiarity with the challenges and opportunities facing underserved families and children.
