The Manager oversees the daily operation of the residential facility, including staff supervision, treatment planning, and maintenance of the physical plant to ensure quality services for all residents. The Manager assists in maximizing the functioning of emotionally disabled adults to prevent hospitalization. Ensure that shifts have adequate coverage and alert the Program Coordinator when essential staff calls out. Insure that staff receive a schedule informing them of responsibilities and observe that all staff follow the schedule. Insure that staff manage the DCC’s, documenting house and occurrence log, and complete goals according to method. Implement behavioral support plans as needed and attend semi-annual, annual, and special meetings at schools and/or day treatment programs. Communicate professionally with schools and/or day treatment programs and document contact with schools, day treatment programs, and family. Maintain appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team members, DCC, staff, clinicians, supervisors, support, and administrative staff. Demonstrate understanding of abuse and incident reporting regulations and collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team. Inform Program Coordinator of outstanding staff performance and any staff disciplinary concerns. Provide in‑house training to new employees and perform DCC/SS responsibilities in the absence and/or shortage of staff. Qualifications
Education Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counseling, or related human service field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience Minimum 3‑year experience working with developmentally disabled population, preferably in a residential, health, or treatment related setting. Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc. Minimum 3 years administrative/managerial experience with emotionally disabled population. Successfully complete Medication Administration Course within 90 days of employment. Excellent management, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with basic computer usage and Microsoft Office Suite. Valid NYS Driver’s License required.
