Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and strategic Tax Manager to join our client's finance team. The role leads all tax planning, compliance, and reporting initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. This position requires strong technical tax knowledge, hands‑on leadership, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non‑financial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Tax planning and strategy : Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize liabilities while complying with laws and regulations.

Compliance and filings : Manage federal, state, local, and international tax returns, extensions, and payments; ensure timely and accurate filings.

Tax provision and reporting : Prepare and review the quarterly and annual tax provisions (ASC 740) and related disclosures; coordinate with external auditors.

Transfer pricing : Support transfer pricing analyses, documentation, and audits; collaborate with global finance and operations.

Tax risk management : Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks; implement internal controls and process improvements.

Audits and notices : Respond to tax audits, notices, and inquiries; liaise with tax authorities as needed.

Mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings : Evaluate tax implications of transactions; assist with diligence, structuring, and post‑transaction integration.

Policy development : Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and training for finance and relevant stakeholders.

Cross‑functional collaboration : Work with accounting, legal, treasury, and business units to support strategic decisions.

Technology and automation : Leverage tax software and data analytics to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/ACCA preferred.

Experience : 5+ years of progressively responsible tax experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role; experience with corporate tax in a multi‑jurisdictional environment; M&A and transfer pricing experience a plus.

Technical skills : Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, ASC 740, and tax provision processes; proficiency with tax software (e.g., Onesource, Corptax, TaxAct) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); advanced Excel skills; data analytics capabilities.

Analytical and leadership abilities : Excellent problem‑solving, critical thinking, and project management skills; ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing tax team; strong communication skills for interactions with executives and non‑financial stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr – $140,000.00/yr. Eligible for discretionary bonuses. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and the company’s 401(k) retirement plan. Compensation determined by skill set, experience, training, licensure, location, and business needs.
