Tax Manager
to join this high‑impact team.
The Opportunity The
Tax Manager
will play a key role in managing all aspects of the company’s tax provision and compliance processes, with a strong emphasis on
ASC 740 accounting for income taxes . This individual will work cross‑functionally with accounting, finance, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting, efficient compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and highly collaborative—able to communicate complex tax concepts to non‑tax stakeholders while fostering strong relationships across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual
income tax provisions
under
ASC 740 , including related disclosures for SEC reporting.
Manage the
global tax compliance process , including coordination with external tax advisors and local filings.
Partner with the accounting and FP&A teams to ensure accurate tax forecasting, deferred tax analysis, and effective tax rate management.
Research and document technical tax accounting issues, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
Assist with
tax planning strategies , including cross‑border structuring, R&D credits, and state & local tax initiatives.
Support audits and respond to inquiries from external auditors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships across departments—serving as a trusted resource for complex tax matters and financial reporting impacts.
Identify and drive
process improvements
and automation opportunities within the tax provision and compliance workflow.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
CPA required
(or active pursuit).
6+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally a blend of
public accounting (Big 4 or national firm)
and
industry experience .
Strong technical knowledge of
ASC 740
and experience preparing or reviewing income tax provisions for public companies.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills —able to collaborate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
Experience with tax provision software (e.g.,
OneSource Tax Provision, Longview, CorpTax ) a plus.
Exposure to international tax and public company reporting preferred.
