MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation specializing in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah, and New Mexico. We are looking for a Process Mechanical Superintendent for our Arizona Division in the Phoenix metro area.

Primary Responsibilities And Duties

Review and comprehend blueprint drawings and specifications.

Lay out large and small diameter mechanical piping and equipment such as clarifiers, filters, chemical rooms, and pumps.

Coordinate and assist with the scheduling of the projects site logistics plan and manpower.

Manage effectively crews of 3-6 people.

Develop and train future foremen and superintendents.

Coordinate with the team on the pay request process.

Monitor project costs and job cost reports; manage job cost reporting with the project team.

Implement and monitor safety for all on-site personnel and subcontractors.

Review, approve, and help order material and equipment needed.

Any and all other duties assigned.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

Work on professional construction sites, communicating verbally with others on site, in person, and over the telephone.

Read printed materials, signs, and directions.

Maintain attention despite interruptions and lift, push, pull, carry, handle or feel objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Climb stairs and/or ladders; balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift overhead, and traverse around construction sites safely.

Work outside frequently for long periods in all weather, including extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Be exposed to chemicals, vapors, pollutants, gases, uneven surfaces, loud noises, moving vehicles or machines, and dust/debris.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; occasional overtime, weekend work may be required as duties demand.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.

At least five (5) years of experience installing piping and equipment on multi-functional water/wastewater projects required.

Ability to navigate a computer and respond timely to e-mail.
