The Senior Lease Accountant will play a key role in assisting with daily management of the organization’s leases, operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role manages a variety of accounting functions, including processing journal entries during month end close, financial statement reviews, reconciliation of key accounts, and assisting in other financial-related tasks. The Senior Lease Accountant is expected to manage multiple priorities concurrently without compromising quality, accuracy or completeness.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, including preparing journal entries and perform other month-end, quarterly and annual accounting tasks, with a primary focus on corporate accounting.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations with necessary supporting documentation. As necessary, work with other departments or individuals to rectify any issues or problems identified during the reconciliation process.

Analyze financial statements monthly for accuracy, identifying and documenting any fluctuations to historical trends or budgeted expectations. Resolve any variances that result from missing or incorrect adjustments.

Reconcile intercompany balances, eliminations and adjustments as part of the consolidation process.

Ensure responsible areas are complete and accurate in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Respond to audit support requests and inquiries related to the external and internal audit firms’ testing.

Support corporate functions and FP&A in budgeting and forecasting and in ensuring actual spend is accounted for properly.

Perform any other task or assignment as deemed necessary by the organization.

Background & Qualifications:

A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting preferably public accounting or lease accounting.

Considerable knowledge of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) including ASC 842.

The ability to identify, research and resolve accounting problems.

A working knowledge of Excel and accounting software systems, preferably Oracle Fusion.

CPA or CPA Candidate is preferred.
