We are seeking a Test Lead (SW Qualification Testing) to technically lead a team of test engineers and drive high-quality software validation for automotive applications, particularly in Battery Management Systems (BMS). The role involves leading testing efforts across system and software levels, reviewing test plans, solving complex issues, and ensuring quality deliverables. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer), HIL systems, and a deep understanding of AUTOSAR/ASPICE, ASW/BSW testing, and communication protocols such as CAN, J1939, and LIN.
Responsibilities
Lead a team of test engineers to achieve sprint and project goals.
Plan, execute, and manage qualification testing activities (SWE.6) for automotive software.
Perform HIL testing, ECU‑in‑the‑loop (EIL) testing, and Base Software (BSW) validation.
Review test strategies, plans, and reports; analyze test results and debug issues effectively.
Support and mentor junior team members and ensure technical guidance is provided.
Ensure test coverage for requirement‑based validation, fault management, and diagnostic systems.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust software quality and compliance with ASPICE standards.
Utilize configuration management tools such as GIT or SVN.
Work with scripting and automation tools (Matlab/Simulink, Mscript, Python).
Apply knowledge of test management tools (DOORS, PTC, etc.) and methodologies.
Required Skills and Experience
Strong understanding of AUTOSAR and ASPICE process models.
Hands‑on experience with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
Proficiency in CAN, J1939, and LIN/SAE J2602 communication protocols.
Expertise in HIL systems with prior experience in BMS application testing.
Experience in application software (ASW) and base software (BSW) testing.
Proficient in CAPL scripting and test automation.
Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink, Mscript, and Python.
Knowledge of test management and requirement management tools (DOORS, PTC).
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and team leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working with Battery Management Systems (BMS).
Experience in the automotive embedded software testing domain.
Familiarity with ASPICE SWE.6 process requirements.
