Position Labor and Employment Attorney

Work Setting Hybrid in Glendale / Fully Remote

Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between $140,000 – $300,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

1 to 3 years: $140k to $180k base

4+ years: $180k to $300k base

About The Firm Our client is a mission-driven law firm committed to protecting the rights of workers, ensuring fair labor practices, and promoting equity in the workplace. They counsel, litigate, and advocate for employees who have been subjected to discrimination, wage theft, retaliation, wrongful termination, or other violations of labor and employment laws. Their goal is to seek justice for those who often lack access to legal resources.

Key Responsibilities

Represent clients in court, administrative agencies (e.g., Department of Labor, EEOC, California Labor Commissioner, etc.), arbitration, and mediation on labor/employment matters such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour violations, wrongful termination, Leave laws, etc.

Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, notices, etc. Prepare and conduct depositions and hearings.

Provide legal advice and counseling to clients about their rights under employment laws (e.g., Fair Labor Standards Act, California Labor Code, Title VII, ADA, FMLA, etc.).

Assist clients in evaluating claims, determining strategy, and exploring resolution options (settlement, mediation, trial).

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Member in good standing of the California State Bar.

Substantial experience (typically 3–5+ years) litigating labor and employment law matters in California and/or federal courts or before administrative bodies.
