About the Role
Full‑time administrative position open for Human Resources team. Highly motivated, detail‑oriented individual needed to process semi‑monthly payroll, handle benefit administration, handle HR filing, coordinate HR new hire orientations, assist with event planning and participate in other projects as needed.
Location Onsite (San Diego, CA 92130)
Work Schedule 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in‑office.
Compensation $29.00 – $38.50/Hour, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and process semi‑monthly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now
Prepare and process year‑end bonus payrolls
Set up new states through ADP Workforce Now or CT Corp, as needed
Research and resolve state agency notifications
Conduct HR new hire orientation to help enhance the PKILD experience for new teammates
Conduct benefit orientations for new teammates
Reconcile benefit invoices monthly and coordinate payments with Accounting department
Serve as the first point of contact for payroll and benefit‑related questions
Process, enroll, update, and terminate benefit changes
Coordinate Open Enrollment for employee benefit programs
Create and distribute benefit‑related internal communications
Assist in planning events throughout the year for the PKILD team
Run various reports semi‑monthly, monthly, and annually and on an as‑needed basis
Recognize anniversaries and birthdays of teammates
Assist with facilities requests, as needed
Other time sensitive projects, as needed
Qualifications
4‑year college degree
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality required
2 years experience preferred with ADP Workforce Now
Knowledge of COBRA, FMLA, Medicare, FLSA and DOL requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Friendly and enthusiastic personality
Excellent organizational skills required
Strong work ethic with a client service focus
Ability to multi‑task and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Ability to work well independently and on a team
Strong integrity and ability to exercise good judgment
Consistent and punctual attendance
Additional Qualifications Excellent customer service and organization skills are required, as well as a high attention to details and accuracy. Outstanding professional demeanor with strong verbal and written communication skills is required. Must be able to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality. Two years of experience processing payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now preferred. Working knowledge of Windows environment, MS Office system and office equipment (copiers/faxes) is preferred. Exceptional time management skills needed, as well as the ability to successfully handle multiple projects in a day. Candidate must be self‑motivated, positive and team oriented. Service first attitude, desire to help and ability to handle rapidly changing and conflicting priorities needed.
