The Role Digital Biology is seeking a Scientist to join our Immuno-Oncology discovery platform. The successful candidate will focus on the development of advanced three-dimensional tumor models to investigate tumor–immune interactions and support therapeutic discovery. This role requires expertise in 3D culture systems, knowledge of tumor biology and immunology, and ability to independently develop robust and scalable protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize advanced 3D tumor models (e.g., organoids, spheroids, co-cultures) for scalable biologics screening.

Evaluate and implement different extracellular matrix mimetics and hydrogel systems.

Establish spatially complex tumor–immune co-culture systems to model immune infiltration and tumor microenvironment (TME) dynamics.

Conduct quantitative immune functional assays (e.g., cytotoxicity, cytokine release, spatial imaging) in 3D systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional discovery teams to integrate models into drug screening workflows.

Analyze, interpret, and present image data and functional data for internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Biomedical Engineering or related field; or Bachelor’s with 5+ years of relevant experience.

2+ years of industry experience.

Strong technical background in 3D tumor models and immune co-culture models (T cells, myeloid).

Hands on experience in selection and optimization of biomaterials (matrices, hydrogels) for model development.

Proficiency in advanced imaging and quantitative analysis of 3-D systems.

Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.

Preferred Experience

High-throughput screening workflows.

Cell line engineering (knockout and transgenic techniques).

Ex-vivo human tissue models and healthy iPSC-derived organoids.
