As a Director of Business Operations for the Americas on the Business Strategy and Operations team, you will lead the Databricks Deal Desk for the Americas region, working in close partnership with the regional Sales leaders and their teams.
You will drive operational efficiency, scalability and strategic thought leadership in the end-to-end deal process across commercial introduction and strategic deal management. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, data-driven, and have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills. Creating partnerships within the company while serving the sales organization will be critical to success in this role.
Impact you will have
Expedite the proposal and approval of offers by working closely with Account Executives and Sales Managers
Create deal desk training and documentation that serves a field organization
Be a trusted advisor on structuring offers that meet both Databricks' requirements and customers' business needs
Create dashboards and metrics to measure performance and progress on deal desk activity
Partner on the enhancement current deal desk technology platform and operations
Scale the Deal Desk operation as Databricks grows in customers, products and contractual complexity
Achieve further standardization and automation of both the commercial introduction and the deal execution processes
In particular, significantly increased the share of deals closed on standard and pre-defined fallback paths, working in cross-functional alignment with Sales, Pricing/Policy, Legal and Finance teams
Gain the trust of GTM leaders as the one-stop shop for efficient end-to-end deal execution in alignment with strategic goals
What we look for
10 years of GTM leadership experience in B2B technology company settings
Deep expertise in end-to-end deal execution in the Cloud consumption space, including deal policies, quoting, strategic negotiation, approval process, and order management, preferably at a fast-paced company
Data-driven operator that establishes clear KPIs, a rigorous operating rhythm and continuous optimizations
Strong cross-functional collaborator, thought leader and team player who is able to balance complex stakeholder trade offs across Sales, Finance, IT and Product senior leadership in the best interest of the company
Experience with Salesforce and Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degree.

The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipates utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above. Zone 2 Pay Range $184,800 — $258,750 USD
Zone 3 Pay Range $174,600 — $244,425 USD
