A global manufacturer of precision-engineered cutting tools is seeking a

Sales Engineer

to develop and expand business across key industrial sectors. This organization has been a leader in metalworking innovation for over a century, offering thousands of high-performance tooling solutions to customers worldwide. The Sales Engineer will drive new business growth and strengthen existing partnerships through consultative, technical sales across end users, integrators, and distribution partners within a defined territory. Target industries include automotive, aerospace, energy, communication, medical, and general manufacturing. This role requires a self-motivated, technically adept sales professional who thrives in solution-based selling environments and has a passion for helping manufacturers optimize their processes. Key Responsibilities

Professionally represent the company and manage a regional territory, maintaining relationships with distributors and end users. (Approximately 50–60% travel with overnight stays.) Identify, qualify, and secure new customer accounts to support territory growth goals. Manage and expand current customer relationships by providing technical recommendations, cost‑saving analyses, and product demonstrations. Partner with integrated suppliers to develop growth strategies and deliver product training on tooling applications. Collaborate with internal engineering and technical teams to generate accurate and timely quotations and application solutions. Support customer projects from start‑up through production, including troubleshooting and process improvement. Document and track all opportunities, tooling tests, and cost analyses within the CRM system. Conduct technical training for operators, engineers, and management on product functionality and performance. Prepare sales forecasts, plans, and market analyses to identify opportunities and align with business objectives. Achieve defined sales targets and maintain territory performance metrics. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience preferred. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5–10 years in a consultative technical sales role. Prior experience in cutting tools, machining, or related metalworking applications (milling, drilling, turning, boring, reaming, etc.) is strongly preferred. Ability to calculate and apply speeds, feeds, and tooling parameters across various machining operations. Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills related to cutting tool performance and quality. Proven success managing a territory and driving new business through both direct and channel sales. Comfortable working independently from a home or remote office. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills. Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be open to 50–60% travel. Compensation & Benefits
