Lake Region Behavioral Health Clinic – Devils Lake, ND – Administrative Assistant

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

In a typical week you will provide office admissions, ready Tele‑med computers and assist clients in the registration process – contacting insurance companies and assisting clients with accessing insurance options. This position will also follow up on the needs of clients as well as other office needs, and support staff with faxing, emailing, filing, and compiling documents for admissions and referral services. You may also prepare charts and scan documents into our medical program and back up the receptionist. Strong ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve and shift from one task to another abruptly will be needed. Knowledge of insurance verifications and processes, as well as community resources will be helpful.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • Required experience: two years of office support, clerical, or secretarial work.
  • Coursework in a vocational office support or closely related program may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year‑for‑year basis if it provided the knowledge and skills required to perform the duties.
