Overview

Valley Health Systems, Inc., the parent company of Holyoke Medical Center, is looking for an experienced Office Assistant to float between various physician practices. The role will coordinate and carry out all administrative functions for the office, including providing support to physicians/providers, greeting patients, updating demographic and insurance information, collecting encounter forms, co‑pays, and other fees at check‑out, scheduling follow‑up appointments, and completing all necessary office work.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • High school graduate.
  • Experience working with third‑party payers and working knowledge of ICD‑9 and HCPC coding preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a physician’s office or similar environment preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
