Our client is a well-established Connecticut-based bank with a strong presence in the private client and wealth management space. The bank is seeking an experienced Private Banker to drive business development and manage a portfolio of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Business Development:
Source and acquire new private banking clients through networking, referrals, and strategic partnerships.
Client Management:
Serve as the primary relationship manager for HNW/UHNW clients. Provide tailored financial advice and proactive service.
Investment Oversight:
Coordinate investment strategy with internal portfolio managers or external advisors. Ensure portfolios align with client goals and risk profiles.
Trust & Estate Services:
Advise clients on trust structures, estate planning needs, and fiduciary services. Collaborate with in-house or external trust officers and legal advisors.
Cross-Selling:
Identify opportunities to introduce other bank products and services, including credit, lending, and commercial banking.
Compliance & Risk:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements. Ensure client activities and documentation are compliant with internal and external standards.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in private banking, wealth advisory, or related fields
Proven track record of acquiring and managing HNW/UHNW relationships
Strong understanding of investment management, trust services, and estate planning
Deep network within the regional HNW client base
FINRA Series 7/66 and/or applicable fiduciary licenses preferred
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFP/CFA designation a plus
