Associate Embedded Software Engineer
to join the CITS Software team located at
Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
You will work in a collaborative team environment helping to develop real-time software solutions, utilizing simulations and emulations, and developing software processes in order to meet customer capabilities. This will include developing software and software tests throughout all phases of the software development life cycle (requirements, architecture, implementation, and verification). The software engineer will develop software in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) DevSecOps software build pipeline using an agile methodology focused on code quality, security and automation.
Position Responsibilities
Supports the design, development, test, debugging and maintenance of software that is integrated into embedded devices and systems and meets industry, customer, safety and regulation standards.
Assists with review, analysis, and translation of customer requirements into the design of software products for embedded devices and systems.
Supports building and writing code for embedded systems software to run on specific specialized hardware.
Contributes to integration of embedded software with hardware components.
Supports analysis, monitoring and improving the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems.
Participates in testing and debugging software for embedded devices and systems.
Supports implementation of current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and changes in regulations relevant to software development and hardware technologies.
Supports tracking and evaluation of internal and supplier software team performance to ensure product and process compliance to project plans and industry standards.
Assists with performing embedded software project management functions.
Develop and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing, focusing on automated testing methodologies.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years’ of software development experience with C++.
2+ years’ experience with Linux Operating System.
Experience or familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) software build pipeline techniques and software factories such as DevOps & DevSecOps.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree.
Experience debugging and troubleshooting technical problems involving computer memory or timing considerations.
2+ years of experience with setting up and maintaining a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline.
Experience or familiarity with industry tools or development techniques such as Embedded Systems Software, Linux, and CI/CD.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
