Global Systems Engineering & Safety Feature Owner - Braking Systems We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Systems and Safety Feature Owner for Braking Systems to lead and direct the definition, requirements development, and integration for braking systems within our chassis systems engineering and system safety team. This senior level, safety critical role is responsible for ensuring that braking features meet performance, safety, and customer experience targets across a range of vehicle platforms, including conventional, hybrid, and electric architectures across multiple vehicle programs and architectures.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

Subject Matter Expert for assigned Braking features for the corporation and owner of the end-to-end delivery of braking features, from concept through production and service lifecycle

Define and document feature requirements and ensure alignment with system-level functional, safety, customer, and functional reliability goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including controls, software, hardware, validation, electrical, performance, manufacturing, and other stakeholders to achieve enterprise objectives

Strong lead voice and advocate for feature integration and alignment activities across vehicle and braking platforms

Manage feature timing, functional readiness assessments, issue resolution, and change management throughout the development lifecycle

Support system safety activities related to braking features

Escalates and represents technical braking feature issues in technical reviews and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

8+ years of experience in automotive braking systems or chassis feature development.

Strong understanding and demonstrated capability in vehicle dynamics, braking control systems, and system engineering principles.

Experience with embedded controls

Experience with requirements management and simulation tools (e.g., DNG, MATLAB, carsim, INCA, CAN)

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering

Experience with ISO 26262 and functional safety practices.

Familiarity with model-based development and simulation tools.

Prior experience in feature ownership or technical program management

Knowledge of ADAS or integrated braking systems

High degree of Managerial Courage and Comfort with Ambiguity
