Position Overview The Electrical Superintendent leads and manages field staff, coordinates multiple mid-sized projects, and ensures construction schedules, safety programs, and quality standards are met. This role requires routine interaction and communication with managers, clients, suppliers, and team members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Plans and supervises activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule.
Helps train and manage other field staff.
Through assigned Electrical Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation of multiple mid-sized projects simultaneously.
In conjunction with the Project Manager, helps create and maintain project schedules, plans, monitors, and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules.
Communicates site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner.
Resolves field construction problems.
Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. that support project activities and project schedule.
Monitors field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensures weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; ensures corrective measures are implemented.
Assists the Safety Department in performing incident and/or accident investigations and follow-up.
Understands all subcontractors’ scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules, and quality standards meet contract requirements.
Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination.
Works with the Project Manager and owner’s representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.
Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes.
Provides input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts.
Assists the Project Manager with Change Order review.
Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner.
Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project.
Qualifications
A minimum of three years experience on construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman role (or higher) position.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
Experience in mid-sized tenant build-outs and commercial space renovation projects is preferred.
Effective communication skills.
Knowledge of construction scheduling cost control and ability to control and supervise small to mid-sized groups.
Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability.
Basic computer skills preferred.
