Recruiting Talent Acquisition Manager at Confidential
Base pay range $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr
MGT is looking to fill a contracted position working at our valued client in the Providence, Rhode Island area.
This consultant role is primarily responsible for leading talent acquisition efforts and supporting the employee life cycle on a project or as-needed basis.
The ideal consultant is strategic, resourceful, and results-driven, with a proven ability to design and execute recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
Success in this role requires independence, initiative, and the ability to partner effectively with leadership, hiring managers, and external networks.
Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is an in-person role, working Monday through Friday, with an expected assignment length of 6 months to 1 year.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with senior leadership and department heads to design and implement recruiting strategies for both union and non‑union positions.
Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job postings and candidate sourcing through selection, offer, and onboarding.
Leverage tools such as HRIS platforms (e.g., UKG Ready), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing methods to build strong candidate pipelines.
Provide expertise on competitive market practices, employer branding, and outreach to ensure access to top candidates.
Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations in all recruitment and employee onboarding activities.
Advise on and support leave of absence policies and compliance matters as needed, including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory requirements.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion in all interactions.
Support organizational initiatives such as collective bargaining, policy updates, and employee events as assigned.
Other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities Assists in coordinating Receptionist coverage and with assigning work to the HR Generalist.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years focused on full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring across a range of roles and levels, ideally in both unionized and non-unionized environments.
Experience using HR technology and recruiting tools (e.g., UKG Ready, LinkedIn Recruiter).
Knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements relevant to recruiting and onboarding.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across levels.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
Ability to operate independently as a consultant while aligning with organizational priorities.
Must maintain confidentiality, security clearance, and an active driver’s license.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field required.
HR Certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP).
On-site work in a climate-controlled office environment.
Some local travel may be required for meetings or recruitment events.
