Real Estate Paralegal – Hospitality & Leisure Practice
Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a full-time
Real Estate Paralegal
to support its Hospitality & Leisure practice group. This position can be based in
Chicago, New York, Phoenix, or Washington, DC
and will report to the Practice Group Leader.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and coordinate due diligence, including review of title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related documentation.
Assist in drafting and reviewing real estate conveyance and closing documents.
Manage all aspects of real estate closings for acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and equity transactions.
Prepare signature page packages; file UCC financing statements.
Order and analyze UCC, lien, litigation, and similar searches.
Handle entity formation and maintenance, including related filings.
Review and compile officer’s certificates, resolutions, organizational documents, and other closing deliverables.
Conduct legal and factual research for special assignments and prepare related reports and filings.
Communicate with clients and external parties regarding assigned matters.
Perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree, or a Paralegal Certificate with equivalent experience.
Minimum of
5 years of real estate experience , ideally in a law firm, in-house legal department, or title company.
Experience with large, complex transactions and proficiency in title and survey review is required.
Hospitality industry experience is a plus.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Excellent client service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software (e.g., Elite).
Salary Range The salary range for this role is
$100,000 – $130,000 .
