Our client, a mid‑sized law firm located in the Loop, is seeking a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its thriving real estate practice. The firm offers a hybrid work schedule, excellent benefits, and a salary range of $110,000–$115,000 depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate due diligence for real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, and loans.
Review and summarize title commitments and surveys; prepare title and survey objection letters.
Work directly with title companies to resolve title objections, clear title issues, and obtain final title policies.
Facilitate communication between attorneys representing various parties in the transaction.
Obtain, review, and summarize entity organizational documents, as well as UCC, judgment, tax, and lien searches.
Prepare and file/record various documents such as deeds, mortgages, leases, resolutions, and UCC financing statements.
Draft closing checklists, critical date lists, closing documents, affidavits, certificates, and resolutions.
Coordinate and control the full closing process for real estate transactions.
Prepare and distribute post‑closing binders.
Complete special projects as assigned and contribute as a collaborative team player.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum of 3–5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience, with a strong emphasis on title and survey review and clearance.
Paralegal certificate preferred, with a specialty in real estate.
Prior law firm experience strongly preferred.
