Pre-K Teacher

As a
Pre-K Teacher , you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality early education to children while supporting their overall development and readiness for school.
Key Responsibilities
Creating and implementing weekly lesson plans that are engaging, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with the program’s designated curriculum and goals
Supporting and mentoring Teacher Assistants, interns, and volunteers
Conducting developmental screenings, ongoing assessments, and parent-teacher conferences to track and support each child’s progress
Collaborating with families, community partners, and program staff to meet educational and family engagement objectives
Promoting a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
State Preschool through Third Grade or Nursery through Eighth Grade Standard Teaching Certification or Certificate of Eligibility/Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing
1 year of experience in a Pre-K setting or equivalent experience working with children and working with a team
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
A collaborative mindset with a commitment to the mission of supporting children, families and communities

Successful completion of a post-offer, pre-employment physical examination, TB screen, and background screen inclusive of CHRI and CARI check is required.
Offers may not be limited by the salary ranges listed. Highly qualified candidates may be offered a higher wage, whenever budgetary and operational factors permit with required approvals.
Salary Disclaimer: Pre-K Teacher salaries follow the local Board of Education district salary with availability of funding whenever possible and are based on the candidate’s education level and years of relevant experience. The starting salary for this position is
$52,000 , with potential adjustments according to these factors.
