Overview Digital Analysis Auditor (DAA) role at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The position is part of the Office of Trade, Trade Regulatory Audit (TRA) and provides audit program planning, advisory services, and computer‑related investigative activities throughout the audit lifecycle.

Location Ashburn, VA; Laredo, TX; Miami, FL; Newark, NJ; San Francisco, CA; Washington, DC

Pay Range $105,383 – $137,000 per year (GS‑13)

Responsibilities

Provide audit program planning and advisory services.

Conduct computer‑related audit investigative activities throughout the audit lifecycle.

Develop, modify, and utilize automated audit testing tools, techniques, and statistical sampling schemes.

Collaborate with the Office of Information and Technology (OIT) and TRA information system programmers for development, enhancement, and monitoring of sophisticated management systems.

Apply advanced concepts of operations research, statistics, and scientific methods to identify and solve complex challenges.

Qualifications

U.S. citizen; males born after 12/31/1959 must register with the Selective Service.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, public administration, or a related field containing at least 24 semester hours in accounting.

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS‑13, performing audits and applying GAGAS and related regulations.

Background investigation, drug testing, and eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance (if required).

Proficiency in the use of automated electronic data processing (EDP) systems and audit testing tools.

Benefits and Additional Information The position offers a one‑year probationary period, up to four weeks of paid training, and ongoing professional education requirements. Employees may be required to obtain a Top Secret clearance and to participate in continued training and professional development activities.
