Senior Business Systems Analyst – Apex Systems
Location: Quantico, VA (On‑site)
Clearance: Active Top Secret Security Clearance
Pay Range: $130,000‑$140,000
Overview This role supports a government client by leading planning, coordination, and reporting for multiple IT systems (ALERTS, ACIS, DRS). The analyst will manage schedules, stakeholder communications, risk/configuration tracking, and engineering change proposals. They will define system requirements based on user needs and government standards, and help develop lifecycle documentation and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
Lead planning, coordination, and reporting activities across multiple CIMS operational and enhancement tasks, Program Orientation Meeting, Program Management Plan, Release/Implementation Plan, and Test Plan/Reports.
Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, facilitate stakeholder coordination, support risk and configuration management, and track Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
Ensure alignment between program deliverables, release cycles, and test results, enabling seamless implementation across ALERTS, ACIS, and DRS systems.
Formulate and define system scope and objectives based on user needs and applicable business system and government requirements.
Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into proper system requirements.
Provide input to risk management framework process activities and related documentation (system life‑cycle support plans, concept of operations, operational procedures and maintenance training materials).
Research current technology to understand capabilities required of mission systems.
Collaborate with government to identify and/or develop appropriate solutions.
Effectively communicate with others.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT Management, or related field with 7+ years of business systems analysis experience.
Knowledge of cybersecurity, privacy principles, and organizational requirements.
Proficient in determining how mission systems operate and how changes affect system operations.
Experience supporting IT programs of similar size and scope.
IAT Level II or higher certification.
Active Top Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
Agile/SAFe certification preferred.
