We are now recruiting for an experienced and passionate
Group Sales Manager
to join us in the heart of Dupont Circle.
Responsibilities Proactively seek and secure new accounts, send proposals and sales contracts, conduct rate negotiations, and conduct familiarization trips and hotel site inspections. Prioritize achieving and exceeding monthly sales goals. The position is full-time and requires a flexible schedule.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Have a minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Sales Manager, preferably in a luxury property
Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet clients needs and resolve complaints.
Ability to move throughout the hotel to conduct site inspections.
Ability to listen, speak and write English to ascertain and respond to client needs.
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Follow directions thoroughly. Work with minimal supervision
Understand guest service needs. Prioritize, organize and follow-up on all actions.
Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Maintain confidentiality of guest and client information and pertinent hotel data.
Must be able to meet the responsibilities of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills.
Requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques
Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Opera (PMS/Sales & Catering), Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
