Hotel Manager As the
Hotel Manager
of the Dupont Circle hotel, you will be responsible for maintaining consistent standards of service and ensuring guest satisfaction while creating a work environment that supports organizational values. You will contribute to the profitability of the Hotel through the operation of effective cost controls and stock monitoring.
This position requires proven excellent experience and success, at a senior management level, within the Rooms Division; Food and Beverage operations; and Revenue forecasting and management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the management of the hotel operation, ensuring delivery of exceptional guest service from each department
Proactive plan to ensure each department's preparedness based on an awareness of business in the Hotel
Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints
Ensure all costs are controlled without compromising standards and service delivery
Ensure awareness and compliance with all Health Safety work practices
Ensure support of the hotels core values (Patrons, People, Product and Profit) always
Assist with developing strategies to increase market share – both food and beverage and rooms
Drive the performance of the operational departments, ensuring the team delivers the highest quality in relation to Forbes, LQA and Doyle Collection Brand Standards
Manage staff. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed.
Ensures communications and follow-up on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.
Resolve customer complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner.
Ensures the financial goals are being met. Monitors and controls labor expense and other divisional expenses such as Uniforms, Linen, Guest Supplies, Contract Services, etc.
Participate in the coordination of rehabilitation and capital improvement projects in partnership with Property Operations and other departments. Focus on hotel Capex and FF&E throughout the year to elevate hotel products.
Maintain close relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring that expected levels of quality and service are continuously met and that there exist well‑executed contracts.

Location The Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC is a luxury property located right on Dupont Circle in the nation's capital. Newly renovated the hotel has 327 chicly styled and luxuriously appointed guest rooms, with 12 bespoke penthouse suites located on the 9th floor of the hotel. Home to Pembroke Restaurant and Doyle Bar, the property also boasts almost 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
