The Director Operations Specialty Services will provide strategic market development, partnering with regional market leaders, and directly influencing specialties program expansion, clinician engagement, and client satisfaction. The Director Operations, under the direction of the Vice President of Operations Post-Acute Care, will lead and support the execution of TeamHealth’s Cardiac, Palliative, and Wound Care programs at a national level.
This position is hybrid and must live in the Tri-State area for the 65%-70% travel within the Specialty Service markets for multiple states.
Responsibilities Growth & Market Development
Identifies and develop strategic growth opportunities across existing and new markets
Secures meetings with key facility stakeholders
Builds and maintains a new business pipeline in collaboration with local market leadership
Leads program launches in new markets and facilities
Attends conferences and trade events to represent specialty programs and generate leads
Management
Acts as the primary point of contact for facilities and specialty services clinicians
Collaborates with credentialing, compliance, clinical education, legal, and provider enrollment teams to support clinician onboarding
Recommends process improvements to gain operational and/or administrative efficiencies and sees through implementation
Manages daily operations and recommends improvements to the practice as it relates to KPI's and clinician Satisfaction
Oversee clinical scheduling, staffing, and coverage coordination
Implement policies and procedures that guide and support the practice operations
Participates in Recruitment for new providers for the Post-Acute team
Coaches, onboard, and support specialty service clinicians
Assesses department needs for resources, supplies, equipment, and staff to provide quality services and reduce operational costs
Contributes to strategic business plans by region and by specialty service line.
Analyzes performance trends, market data, & feedback to guide decision making
Participates in budgeting and financial forecasting
Responsible for owning targets related to clinician ramp-up and specialty service implementation
Client Relations
Ensures strong relationships, retention of existing referral sources, and new referrals. Ambassador for Specialty Services Post-Acute program
Consistently fosters a commitment to customer service in all areas of responsibility
Consistently displays professionalism in dealing with customers, staff, and clinicians
Develops and implements business development and retention strategies with managed care organizations, facilities and community care physicians
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of work experience in a healthcare related field
BS or equivalent, in a healthcare related field
Ability to analyze and create complex financial schedules
Business development and or market outreach experience
Ability to work well under pressure meeting deadlines and with difficult people
Ability to establish priorities and be flexible enough to adapt to changing ones
Ability to communicate effectively – orally, in writing, in person and on the telephone – with all categories of people within the company and potential affiliates
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word
Ability to work independently and in an organized manner
Ability to establish goals and demonstrated ability to complete projects by deadlines
Ability to travel up to 65%-70%
Ability to attend company and professional functions after normal work hours
