Job Overview The Center for Brain Plasticity and Recovery (CBPR) is a research center focused on studies of basic learning and development and on enhancing recovery from stroke and other brain injuries in children and adults. The Center Manager reports to the Director and plays a key role in the interaction of the Center with faculty, community, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Oversee the Center’s infrastructure activities and funded training programs.

Manage outreach and dissemination of the Center’s research and academic activities.

Create and maintain public documents, including the CBPR website and brochures.

Assist with preparation of grant materials and manage subcontracts for large grants.

Oversee research and training activities and provide day‑to‑day operational and administrative support.

Supervise student workers and lower‑level staff.

Serve as the primary point of contact for small donors, foundations, and community partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.

7 years of administrative experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 5 years of experience with a Master’s or Ph.D. required.

Previous experience in program direction and staff management.

At least 2‑3 years experience in an academic, medical center, or governmental setting.

Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and project‑management abilities.

Computer skills and knowledge of cognitive neuroscience preferred.

Remote Work This position is designated as Remote.

Pay Range Hourly: $39.60 – $48.40. Compensation is determined by candidate qualifications, experience, education, and University needs.
