Job Overview
Center for Brain Plasticity and Recovery (CBPR) is a research center focused on studies of basic learning and development and on enhancing recovery from stroke and other brain injuries in children and adults. Ten faculty from Georgetown, National Rehabilitation Hospital, and other affiliated universities participate in research, and the Center Manager reports to the Director. Responsibilities
Oversee the Center’s infrastructure activities and funded training programs. Coordinate outreach and dissemination of Center research and academic activities, including maintaining the CBPR website and brochures. Assist with preparation of grant materials and manage subcontracts for the large grant portfolio. Supervise student workers and provide guidance to faculty and student employees. Manage day‑to‑day operations and administration with minimal supervision. Requirements And Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Masters or Ph.D. preferred. Seven years of administrative experience with a bachelor’s degree or five years with a Masters or Ph.D. required. Previous experience should include program direction and managing other staff. At least 2-3 years experience in an academic, medical center, or governmental setting. Extremely strong writing skills, organizational abilities, computer skills, knowledge of cognitive neuroscience, and strong project management skills. Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, be highly organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Work Mode Designation
Remote Pay Range
Hourly $39.60 – $48.40 EEO Statement
