We are seeking an experienced Sterling Integrator (SI) Developer with strong mapping development skills to join our customer’s integration team as a contractor.

Sterling Integrator (SI) Developer – Contractor (Mapping Specialist)
Mapping & Data Transformation
Design, develop, and optimize EDI, XML, and flat file maps using Sterling Mapper or equivalent mapping tools.
Implement complex data transformations to support multiple EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON).
Create reusable and scalable map templates for trading partner integrations.
Validate and test mapping solutions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and performance.
Business Process Development
Design and implement Business Processes (BPs) within IBM Sterling Integrator using BPML.
Integrate mapping logic into workflows to automate end-to-end data exchanges.
Configure and maintain partner profiles, envelopes, and trading agreements.
System Configuration & Integration
Configure communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, and MQ for secure data transmission.
Integrate SI with enterprise systems, middleware, and external trading partners.
Develop reusable components and scripts to enhance automation and process efficiency.
Support & Maintenance
Monitor and troubleshoot mapping or BP execution failures.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Support system upgrades, patches, and map migrations as required.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with business analysts, integration architects, and trading partner teams.
Document mapping specifications, transformation rules, and process flows.
Provide knowledge transfer and mentor junior developers or support personnel.
Required Qualifications
Strong hands‑on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) and Sterling Mapper.
Proven experience developing complex EDI, XML, and JSON maps across multiple transaction sets.
In‑depth understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and file formats (XML, JSON, CSV).
Hands‑on experience with BPML for business process development.
Familiarity with communication protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTP, HTTPS, and MQ.
Professional Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple integration projects in a dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in partner onboarding, certificate/key management, and map migration projects.
Exposure to Sterling File Gateway (SFG) and Sterling Control Center (SCC).
Experience with cloud‑based B2B integrations (Azure, GCP, or hybrid environments).
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
7–9 years of experience in Sterling Integrator development, with a strong focus on Mapping and EDI integrations.
