We are seeking an
Accounts Payable Specialist
to join our Corporate office in Piscataway, NJ. This on‑site, full‑time position requires a strong background in property‑management and construction finance.
Responsibilities
Process all vendor invoices with appropriate charge codes for our apartment communities.
Three‑way match Purchase Orders.
Process all utility invoices for each property and manage high‑usage reports.
Reconcile vendor accounts.
Correspond with properties and vendors on any billing issues.
Resolve purchase order, invoice, or contract discrepancies.
Identify and process chargebacks to tenants.
Maintain utility schedules and monitor vacant units monthly.
Apply general accounting principles.
Demonstrate urgency and troubleshoot problems when necessary.
Work independently or as a team member.
Articulate and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Maintain high attention to detail and multitask.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of AP experience, preferably in property management.
Experience with Timberline and/or Real Page.
Proficiency in Excel.
Must have property management and construction background.
Education High School Diploma or Higher
