Must possess a degree in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy from an accredited school If a Rehab Tech, High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required Two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Speech‑Language Pathologist, or Rehab Tech Computer Skills
Computer literate and proficient in clinical documentation Basic internet navigation skills Certificates and Licenses
Current and active license as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech‑Language Pathologist Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervisor of work at the facility, including training, scheduling, coaching, issue resolution, personnel records, and discipline assistance Rate range is an estimate and may vary based on skill set and location(s) Director of Rehabilitation Responsibilities
Assign patient scheduling and other responsibilities to staff as needed Supervise, orient, train, evaluate, and counsel department team members to improve performance and maintain high standards of patient care Assist with the interview process for hiring department team members Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and facility specific policies and procedures Ensure accurate, concise, and compliant documentation in the medical record for therapists and therapy assistants Communicate and coordinate department functions with other services to promote team rapport and effectiveness Maintain effective communication with administration regarding department programs, goals, objectives, risks, and successes Participate in utilization review, quality assurance, resident care conferences, admission meetings, department head meetings, community education planning, and rehabilitation conferences Responsible for revenue and expense controls to meet budgetary requirements Establish goals and objectives for the department and implement strategies to obtain success Ensure timely and accurate reporting of MDS information and billing of services Enhance clinical expertise and management skills through continuing education and professional activities Maintain valid state license (where appropriate) and awareness of therapy profession issues Optimize functionality and skills of patients by directing or overseeing therapy services as needed, including screening, evaluation, treatment, and compliance with billing and documentation guidelines Qualifications
