D365 Finance & Operations Developer Job Description
Senior D365 Finance & Operations Developer to join our Nashville team. As a key member of our global IT organization, you will optimize and extend our D365 platform, serving as the backbone of our manufacturing operations. You will work closely with architects, application specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable solutions that balance standard functionality with strategic customizations. Responsibilities
Extend and optimize the D365 platform by developing and enhancing custom functionality, particularly in manufacturing and production modules, in line with our architectural framework. Support and improve our custom MES solution, while considering future ISV alternatives. Collaborate with architects, application specialists, and occasionally business users to translate requirements into technical solutions. Provide technical leadership on best practices for D365 development, including decisions on using standard features versus customizations. Utilize Azure services and DevOps pipelines to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes. Ensure high-quality code, thorough documentation, and adherence to regulatory and security requirements. Essential Skills
Proven experience developing and extending D365, especially in manufacturing and production environments. Strong skills in X++, with a clear understanding of D365's extensibility model and the distinction between standard and custom capabilities. Hands‑on experience with Azure and DevOps pipelines in a D365 context. Background in regulated industries and/or manufacturing is highly valued. Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate operational needs into technical solutions. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fast‑paced work environment. Effective communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams. Willingness to work on‑site in Nashville at least 4 days per week, with potential for future travel as global rollout progresses. Work Environment
