Essential Job Functions

Lead preparation and review of all SEC filings including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, DEF14A (Proxy), and Section 16 reports.

Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and XBRL/iXBRL tagging requirements.

Oversee drafting of financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and related disclosures.

Benchmark disclosure quality and transparency against industry peers.

Technical Accounting & Compliance

Monitor and interpret new and emerging U.S. GAAP and SEC pronouncements; prepare related technical memos.

Research and advise on complex accounting areas such as:

Revenue recognition under ASC 606 for long‑term manufacturing contracts.

Lease accounting (ASC 842), share‑based compensation, and foreign currency translation.

Acquisition accounting, goodwill impairment, and fair value assessments.

Support the company’s transition to accelerated filer status by ensuring SOX readiness and audit preparedness.

Audit & Internal Controls (SOX)

Partner with external auditors to coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits.

Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and support SOX 404 compliance.

Document and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Investor Relations, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal on financial disclosures and board‑level presentations.

Provide financial analysis to support management decisions, strategic initiatives, and capital markets activity.

Serve as a subject matter expert in technical accounting for the global finance and operations teams.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

Mentor accounting staff and contribute to the technical development of the finance organization.

Identify and implement process automation opportunities using HFM, OneStream, or similar systems.

Lead special projects including system implementations, mergers, or debt/equity transactions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s in Accounting or MBA preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.

Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting and SEC reporting experience.

Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4) or a public manufacturing company strongly preferred.

Demonstrated understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations (Reg S–X, S–K), and SOX requirements.

Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with SEC reporting tools (e.g., RDG Filings, Intelligize).

Familiarity with ERP systems (Infor Syteline, Infor Visual) and consolidation tools (HFM, OneStream).

Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving capabilities.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex topics for executive audiences.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
